Three long range shots that simply had eyes, including one harmless shot that deflected off Lilja up high and found it's way in. You just rarely get so fortunate in such a quick period of time. The other games in this series will be a lot more competitive. The Flyers are better than this.

Its funny (maybe funny isn't the right word) because that sounds like caps fans after a playoff loss. I've learned over the years that you create your own luck. Yes the shots had eyes, but they also got infront of Bryz. Not our fault you guys deflected our shots into your net before one of our players got the tip (specifically the Perreault goal).

I'm with Ritari on this one. The Caps set up in a manner that allowed those shots to go in. Bryzgalov wasn't screening himself, and the Flyers didn't shoot the puck at him. Were the Caps lucky that the shots went in? Yes. But it wasn't like a dump in off the boards bounced off a stanchion into the net when Bryz went behind to play it. They were legitimate hockey goals, and while the timing was unfortunate and the Caps certainly shouldn't count on getting three like that every game, a goal is a goal.

Unless it's scored in Pittsburgh. Then it only might be a goal.

Ah cmon ritari, lots of luck involved in the caps win tonight. The caps played well tonight, better than the flyers at least, but there was a good amount of luck involved also.
