If during this postseason Schenn turns out to be everything and more than we originally expected of JvR, then perhaps JvR will be dealt in the offseason. That would seemingly make a lot of you happy.

I hope that is the case, but you can't just expect the kid to return from injury and suddenly dominate in the playoffs.

Sure we can. Briere has been banged up here and there. Now he is crushing everyone. I think JVR can do the same.

I was just gonna say Briere has played like ass all year and is somehow miraculousy finding his stride now. Plus JVR was really starting to improve immensely before he broke his foot. He was getting to the dirty areas more and making smarter plays both with and without the puck. I'm not expecting a Conn Smyth performance when he gets back but he's gonna add another scoring threat and more depth.

He can, it's just not likely. We all know Briere is as clutch as they come in the playoffs...healthy or not. Regardless, I've believed in JvR about as much as anyone has on here...lol

when JVR comes back i do gotta agree on keeping wellwood and sitting zac. love zac but wellwood's speed and offensive threat is probably a bit more of an advantage than zac's aggression because we have plenty of guys in the lineup who can provide the gritty stuff.
