Go back to jy's post. Do a Google search. Your point is based on the insane view that SM *may* actually not mean what he's saying. Like I said, go back to that methadone clinic

Ive done both (despite you being the one with the burden to provide any evidence for your silly little claim). My point is not based on that, but after all you've struggled with reading on here before - why should I be surprised?

Anywho, this has been real fun, but its a little ridiculous. Im gonna bail before we drive the board nuts with this shit. And besides I gave you what - 30 posts? - to prove your point and ya came up empty so on that note - have a good night.

Nah dude, there are times people say stupid stuff on here that pisses me off. But I have decided to go the high road and simply ignore that kind of flak.

But the back and forth over subtle differences on HOW we see our GMs actions over the QB..... its 6 in one/ 1/2 dozen in the other. Any real Skins fan is glad we tagged Kirk and should be hoping we get a long term deal done. Even if you doubt he is actually a franchise QB, you got to realize.. .the other options available are all hamster wheel in space moves that in the long run will hurt the team more.

You've acknowledged that I've met my burden by conceding SM's view on KC. Your only rebuttal now is that he may not mean what he says. Which is bat shit insane. You've complemented this crazy view with your attempts to bootstrap your view with SM's by relying on the fact that you both agree that he should've been tagged, something that was easily nuked.

You lost this debate a long time ago. Bud.

Jimminy Fucking Cricket...

We just made a move to ensure that we are NOT desperate for a QB come draft time, or contemplating holding onto the biggest mistake in franchise history because we had no choice....

And we are arguing semantics at this point.

Yes some feel that Kirk will never be more than average and still needs to prove he is worthy of a long term franchise deal.

Others feel the team is stupid to quibble over what in reality becomes $10 million dollars in cap space should he totally flame the fuck out.

Reality is, this team has pissed away more cap space on guys who did little or nothing for us over the past three years.

Like it or not, we should sign Kirk to a long term deal, and should he fail.... deal with it. Because in reality, all other options lead to monkey fucking football in the middle of an earthquake territory.

No, it's a simple point on how his opninon differs from SM's. As jy noted, SM has expressed high praise for KC, which differs from the assessment ehb gave. Instead of admitting that, he tried to argue that his and SM's opinions were somehow the same because both agreed that Cuz should be franchised. When it was pointed out that you can reach the same conclusion for very different reasons, he then backtracks to argue that SM may not really mean what he said about Cuz. Unbelievable.

And again IM simply pointing out.... we made a good move today. Even if you dont really have faith in Kirk. If we cant all admit, this was a step in the right direction for the Skins.... then we should simply adopt what ever team Voldemort ends up on. EBH has never been a true believer in Cousins. And he is entitled to that. Hell half the rabid Griffin fans are still some what in denial. That to is their right. In 10 Months we will likely all be on the same page one way or another. Either Kirk proves to be the guy we all hope he is, or we will all likely be complaining about how we screwed up again.

Mean time, lets just hope our GM can actually build the rest of the team and let the QB thing sort itself out. :suds:

Two points. First is that ehb isn't a true believer of KC. Bingo! And that's a much different view from what SM believes. That's all I was saying.

Second, aren't you glad that the Redskins FO didn't eff things up? And yes, this was a great move. Let's hope he can sign a long term deal now.

We don't know where KC is.

He was below average the first half of the season.

He was elite the second half.

True. However - with very few exceptions all NFL teams have question marks at the QB position. Many of these involve QBs with very big contracts. The Redskins are doing what you need to do - roll the dice with the QB who gives you the best chance. There is a big risk, but it is a risk worth taking especially for a team like the Redskins who have not had a consistently good QB for at least 20 some years.

KC doesnt need to be a franchise qb for us to succeed . i think he will be a borderline 2/3 tier qb and that is plenty good enough to have us competing for super bowl appearances

we made a good move today if it fails we are looking for a qb in 17
