Yes, and we all know what happened most recently.

Yeah, and the prior two years, they were the EC Champs. The biggest problem Pittsburgh had last season was defense. They've corrected that problem.

Put the bong down... this team is built to win in the playoffs.

Take that "1" off the "19", and I'll agree with you.

I realize you have injuries, but the Wings aren't a bunch of invalids. Wasn't the stat 7-3-2 after Dats went down? I know more guys went down, but the Penguins are without the best player in the world who is worth Datsyuk+ (or at least was when he went down).

Feel free to bring that up if Pens fans laud this win or use it as some sort of evidence of superiority, but let's not act like the Wings haven't won one in 12 games or something.

Your goalie, the guy who I would assume would be who the fans are the most iffy about, is keeping you in this.

I have to admit I haven't kept up with the Pens. Is Crosby the only one injured?

And BTW, all my posts have been tongue-in-cheek except the thing about Pitt winning by 2 goals.

Unless you count Comrie or Godard, which I don't, yeah we're doing pretty well there.

I've been impressed with what the Wings have done with so many guys out, so I certainly don't look at this game as a freebie.

But point taken regarding tongue-in-cheek.

Fleury's playing like a champ tonight. Wings are getting some fantastic chances, Marc is just shutting them down.

And a few games ago when Crosbys had been gone for a game. Lose 4-0. I see a mediocre team beyond Crosby. Unfortunatley that mediocre team still gets the job done.

I can't say enough how impressed I am with Staal. I expected it to be at a month before he even looked pretty good. Dude needed two or three games.

Staal is looking very much like a top 6 forward right now. I almost feel like the Penguins should be shopping Malkin right now because of how Staal is playing. Of course, they best get a pt/game winger and a 1st round draft pick for Malkin at least if they do deal him, and I want to see more of Staal before I take that deal anyway.

And a mediocre team beyond Crosby? Okay, let's remove $8.7 million from your roster and see if you are the same team.

We have one of the top D, one of the top PK's, a Selke finalist from last season, the Richard "winner" from last year, and a Norris candidate this year.
