The red zone battle will be very interesting to watch, as Denver is tops at RZ efficiency overall, and tops in TD's per RZ visit.

Disrupting routs will be important, but Seattle will also have to look out for the "rub" crossing routes. They will need someone who can match up to Welker and J. Thomas too. Manning LOVES to create mismatches for those two. Second key will be Seattle's front 4 being able to stop the run. That allows defenders to sit back in coverage and Manning will hold the ball longer. If we can run, Seattle will need to respect Moreno and Ball, and could have a harder time creating that coverage pressure.

The other key matchup I see is Beast Mode vs. Pot Roast (Lynch vs. Knighton). Whomever wins that battle will have a big advantage over the other team.

While I'd LOVE to see an epic blowout in favor of the Broncos, I see this game being really tight. Definitely a big test for both teams.

Hah, the more I read, the more I believe football fans couldn't have asked for a better matchup. It is such an epic clash of high octane offense vs defense.

Yea we'd all love to see a blowout by our respective teams so we can relax and enjoy our team wind it down in the 4th quarter, but reflecting on the San Francisco game, the ups and downs of it to the last seconds was pretty amazing and is what makes football great.

That's what I'm hoping for here win or lose....an epic Superbowl that will be talked about for a long time. On a side note, seeing Elway still gets the old AFC West blood going a bit.

The media of course is focused on the Broncos O VS the Seattle D. I think the more pivotal match up will be Seattle's O VS the Broncos D. The Seahawks scored 23 points or less 7 times. I know Seattle's D is good but I don't see how the Hawks win if they don't score at least 27. Unless the weather is brutal.

Interesting. I was thinking the Broncos magic number is around 28 or so. As in, if they score 28 points the game is theirs. It's really hard to know what to expect, though.

Good article.

Reaction: Denver Broncos Fans in Seattle Sound Off - Mile High Report

This is interesting. I won't generalize but there are a lot of Seahawks fans on the main board that are like this. Basing a defensive ranking on total defense for example instead of scoring defense as an overall measure of how good they are.

The stuff about Champ is also prevalent over there. Some educated fans, but Like most boards, the vitriol is based on stats that don't mean as much as they would think.

I blame fantasy football. They place too much importance on an individual players stats and not enough on what actually happens and why.
