Which they turned into Stacy "The Franchise" Andrews (123rd overall).

In retrospect, the first part of the trade was fine. Trading our 17th to Denver for their pick (24th) and Deltha. The Broncos took (OLB) D.J. Williams 17th overall.

That 2004 draft was a freaking train wreck. Only player out of that draft that amounted to "anything" was Robert Geathers.

We traded back.

I remember we traded back from the 24th to the 26th but just because they traded back doesn't mean they thought Perry was better than Jackson. They probably thought with Leonard Little being arrested for making terrorist threats to his ex girlfriend that the Rams would maybe take Jason Babin leaving Jackson to them. Maybe they thought they'd take Chris Gamble to replace 35 yr old Aeneas Williams. The Bengals gambled, thinking they could trade back, get more picks, still get the player they wanted and it blew up in their faces. I don't know, I wasn't in the room. But neither was anyone else in the room. I'm just saying.
