I'm surprised they called that no goal - that was a goal - and they took forever to review that too
The problem last night was the non-existent defensive coverage right in front of our net, especially throughout the second period. The Sharks are a good enough team that if you leave their guys alone right in front of our goalie or even just stand near them and not take their stick or hit them, they are going to score goals in bunches.
Even just crosschecking a guy to the ice is better than leaving him completely alone in front of our cage, which makes it almost like a breakaway. This was terrible. Neither of our goalies had a chance once their players got in front and were largely left alone by our defensemen.

Yep - Joe Pavelski is one of the best in the league in front of the net - that is one of the traits of skilled players, they are good in front of the net, especially when they are left alone
And it wasn't just the defensemen, the forwards did not do a very good job either - it seemed like on one of the goals, maybe I'm nitpicking, but G was just standing there or at least not doing very much to help on defense
The defense better tighten it up against the Rangers because boy they're going to need it
one thing i think we've learned this season that is a fact.. when the flyers don't bring their A game against good teams, they get blown out. hopefully they're learning that and learn to bring their A game every night.
