Yeah, which is kinda funny because didn't they have "Kelly Hrudey night" at Staples Center earlier this season?
Also, I wonder how much the fine would be for McLellan using the word "cheated" when talking about the refs in the post-game presser. I'm thinking 10K.
he should have just speared a reporter in the junk
So, who do the Sharks go with in game 7 between the pipes? I think you have to go back to Niemi (unless Arturs Irbe is available).
Stay with Sta. Win Game 7 & we move on to get swept in Round 2. Lose & TMac & Nemo are both gone next year.

I know I'm going to get some negative feedback from this, but the refs made the right call
I don't know why there is even an intent to blow rule, it's just stupid - the ref only put the whistle up just incase he had to call it, he put himself in the right place to see the puck, the puck kept moving and it was behind the goalie's skate - if the ref hadn't put himself in the right place and he was more behind, then he would have blew the whistle, but he put himself in the right spot - isn't that what you want the refs to do in that spot? Position theirselves on the right spot on the ice so they can see what's going on, he clearly saw the puck was still moving and then it went in and that's why he waited, waited and then pointed to the net as a goal - honestly, I don't even think that really was much of a push by Justin Williams - I've seen a lot worse pushes than that - puck was never covered, it just sat behind the goalie's skate
And Alex Stalock said it was a good goal as well so I'll take his word instead of the whiny coach who thinks his team was "cheated"

level 5 ref awe shucks ronnie managed to bring up rule 78.5 (Disallowed goals) right before cbc hurried on to the national
Disallowed Goals – Apparent goals shall be disallowed by the Referee and the appropriate announcement made by the Public Address Announcer for the following reasons
(ix) When a goalkeeper has been pushed into the net together with the puck after making a save.
ole boy ronnie was saying the league can get around it by saying stalock didnt get pushed into the net (only his skate ended up in the net)
69.6 is the damning one. That's basically word for word what happened. Goalie made a stop, and the rule doesn't say the puck has to be frozen, and an offensive player pushed both the goalie and the puck into the net. Not allowed.

as we have already talked about ... league will probably say Staylock wasnt pushed into the net per se lol

Where did Stalock say it was a good goal? I watched his post game interview and he said nothing of the sort there. In fact he said the goal should not have counted.
It was not behind his skates. It was under his pads. Not sure how the ref retained sight of it.
Should not have counted per the letter of the law.
I'm okay with the whistle not being blown, because I think the puck is visible. My issue is the way it ended up in the net.
