Salary Cap Averages

Using Cap Geek ... does your team spend evenly or spend unevenly.


Pens:
Offense: 37.7/13 = 2.9 million average on forwards
Defense: 18.8/7 =2.7 million average on defenseman
Goalies: 5.6/2 = 2.8 million average on goalies

I'm not sure if most teams are like this, so for right not, I'm kind of impressed that Shero can accomplish such even spending.

Offense: 32.9/12 = 2.75 million average on forwards
Defense: 21.2/8 = 2.7 million average on defenseman
Goalies: 6.2/2 = 3.1 million average on goalies

just a couple of 4th liners to sign yet - which would bring forward avg down,
but a potential upgrade on 2nd line (via trade) might offset that.

Offense: 33.5/11 = 3.05
Defense: 19.5/8 = 2.44
Goalies: 5.8/2 = 2.9

Not a surprise I was expecting that the offense would be heavy. And there are still a forward or two that will need to be signed to fill out the 3rd and 4th lines.

D-men = $2.95 million
Goalies = $1.33 million

These averages are going to generally be almost identical in a system where teams spend roughly the same amount. Teams that have higher top-end players at forward say, will spend less on their 3rd line. Or maybe a team has a lot of mid-range salaries. But the averages should come around to a similar mark, with forwards typically being a little higher b/c their top end is bigger.

gotcha.. i should've just taken the day off.. haven't done shit all day.. i swear 90% of my job these first 2 weeks have been spent waiting for ppl do to shit for me
