Actually not a bad move at all. He is 25, started 15 games for Denver last year and had 73 combined tackles last year.

Seems like a good move, given the sitch at safety for us.

He's a pretty good run defender, who has a tendency to struggle in coverage.

Im a little shocked Denver cut loose a 25 year old 3rd year player who was #3 in tackles for their squad last year.

They must be deeper at that position. Course that wouldn't be too hard what with The Brandon suspension.

Denver got their starter, Quinton Carter, back from season ending injury and signed veteran TJ Ward, so Duke just got bumped down the depth chart.

Super Bowl caliber teams cut solid players who get picked up by other teams. 3-13 teams cut guys that go work at Jiffy Lube.

I love this move. I always liked Duke Ihenacho. I call him "nacho man". Not to mention, he's only 25. He's not a star, but is decent in coverage and a hard hitter. I've seen him draw some personal fouls. Lol With the imminent absence of Meriwether, I'm happy that we have a solid player that can fill his shoes, while he's gone.

Scouting book on this guy is good in the box against the run, good STs player, liability in coverage. Look for him to play close to the line of scrimmage on expected run downs and be replaced on obvious passing downs.
