yeah, I'll miss watching him play...one of my all-time favs. But as a guy that's a geo-bachelor in the Navy and only gets to see his family occassionaly on weekends for almost that last two years or so, I certainly will not begrudge the guy wanting to be closer to his daughter. Truthfully, after all he's done for this franchise, I won't even begrudge him for any one year cap hit either (though I wouldn't necessarily care for it).Datsyuk, 37, told the Detroit Free Press that he plans to retire from the NHL and go back to Russia after this season. Redwings confirmed the story, Pavel stated he would do what he could to help with the cap hit, but wants to be home and be with his teenage daughter.
Gonna miss watching him play.
