Lats game for the Sabres before the ASG and the beginning of a long break.

The Sabres are 6-3-1 in their last ten the Sens are 1-7-2. The Sens usually give the Sabres fits although the Sabres have had more luck against them this year and are 2-0 in Ottawa but that means nothing tonight.

It sounds like Stafford will be in the line up for the Sabres tonight.

Good luck to the Sens and their fans but not tonight. ;)

Lets Go Buffalo !!

I think the Sens do a lot better in this game then they have lately.

For one, they always seem to play well against the Sabres. Secondly, they've lost twice in Ottawa to the Sabres this year and are probably due. :D

And lastly, they don't really have anything to lose at this point.

It would be nice if Elliott could be trusted between the pipes. He's certainly hasn't helped my fantasy team lately. By the way I have him on the bench for this game, AGAIN.

Word going around is that Elliott has been very immature lately and he's been blowing off interviews and such. He needs to stop being a baby, shut up and just go play.

That type of thing tends to throw the team off too as you can imagine. He needs to get his ass in gear or he could find himself on a different team and soon.

Kevin Allen said on NHL Live what the Senators do before or at the deadline could have an impact on a number of trades made by other teams.

What I don't get is if Murray has been working the phones for the past few months why the heck hasn't he been able to do anything? Now all of a sudden a bunch of teams are going to want the players Murray has been trying to trade since November?

If Murray trades Kovalev to Pittsburgh he should be tarred & feathered. That's the one damn place he might actually TRY.

I don't know what Murray has been doing quite honestly. My guess is that he feels the deals on the table aren't good enough right now and he's going to hold out a bit longer. Anything other then that and I've really gotta question Mr. Murray.

There was a rumor earlier in the year that the Blues were interested in Kovalev. With their scoring issues and cap space, I could see them going after Kovy. They're about the only team though. The Pens don't have the cap space either so I can't really see that happening.

The Blues are in 14th place. Granted they have 51 points. With alll their injuries I think St Louis is out of it.

The Penguins are the best fit for Kovalev. The only other team that remotely makes sense is Washington. Playing with Ovechkin & Semin might interest him. I really don't know why any other teams would be interested in Kovalev.

I really don't see the Pens having an interest in Kovalev though. I mean, they probably would take a chance on him if he didn't cost so much.

The Caps? Now there's a legitimate possibilty. I hadn't really thought about them but with the scoring problems they've been having, maybe they'll bite. I really don't know what they'd be willing to part with to get him though.

They've got a very deep farm system. I'd try to get Cody Eakin but I just can't see any team giving up much for Kovalev. It's not the contract, it's the attitude.

True enough. I've actually heard that Kovy isn't that bad in the dressing room. He really helped Regin last year but when he loses interest, that's when he's no help to the team. On a good team I think he'd be a nice pickup.

I'd take Eakins for him for sure. Pretty much anything would be a bonus.

I agree.

Despite how the Sens have played in the past 10 games or so, this is the Sabres we are talking about, and this is the type of game the Sens could very well win.
