Sabres VS Pens GNT

Well the Pens have had the Sabres number sweeping them last year and the Penguins have won four straight and seven of eight at home versus Buffalo.. Sabres fans hoping for a different outcome tonight.

Pens are 3-0-2 in their first five games and the Sabres are 2-1-0.

Good luck to the Pens and their fans tonight.

Enroth gets the start for the Sabres tonight.

Look out for a very motivated Vanek, he took the blame for last nights loss. It's nice to see a player man up and take the blame but like the story say's he wasn't alone.

Thomas Vanek is quick to accept the blame for nearly every loss by the Buffalo Sabres. The star winger always feels there's something he could have done to change the outcome.

His list was longer than usual Friday night.


"This one's on me," Vanek said.

Vanek can shoulder part of the blame, but he was hardly alone in the Sabres' most disjointed game of the young season. Vanek did, however, have a front-row seat during the crucial moments in First Niagara Center.


"Both of them I could have avoided," Vanek said. "First one, obviously, hard rim, and I just wanted to stop it and didn't. That one's on me. Second, I thought I could [Jason Pominville] right in the slot, missed him by a little bit. Next thing you know, it's in the goal again."

Drew Stafford..
"It's definitely unacceptable," right wing Drew Stafford said. "As a team we've got to take a lot of pride in being good at our power play, and to give up those chances that they converted on, yeah, it's tough. There's things that we need to clean up and take a little more pride in."

Upfront: I guess I need to see more from Letestu and Sully. I honestly hope when the team is full strenght, Sully finds himself on waivers. Imagine these lines:

Asham -DJ/Vitale - Adams.

No room for Sully. My rant over.
