Sabres VS Pens - GNT

Another very big game for the Sabres, and with the Flyers struggling lately, a big game for the Pens as well.

This is game 5 of the 7 game road trip for the Sabres, and they are 3-0-1, getting 7 out of 8 possible points so far. A win tonight will put the Sabres in 7th place in the East with their games in hand on the Rags.

The Pens haven't won a game in regulation since Feb 4th, and the Sabres were the team that they beat that day. The Sabres will have their work cut out for them considering they have been less than stellar playing against the Pens lately. The Sabres have lost 5 straight to the Pens and they haven't won in Pittsburgh since Dec 8, 2008.

If the Sabres want to keep their PO hopes alive, this is a must win game for them.

Pens seem to have the Sabres number IPW. I just wonder how much gas is in the tank the way they have played on the road but we will see.

In his last 12 starts against the Pens, he is 2-7-2 with a 3.57 GAA.

I'm hoping the crowd is into it. It's been a long time since a home game, tonight is a big Student Rush night, and the return of Kovy. I think that should help at the very least. Oh, and the possibility of Koon returning. :popcorn: But yeah, should be a good one!

I get to watch this one from the comfort of my couch. I gave my tix to a friend who originally from Buffalo who wants his 11 year old to see the new arena. He insists the Sabres will come out with 2 points tonight. I say get 1 Buffalo and be happy with it....
