I'll agree, but like I said Regier, the amazing man he is, said he's not interested in trades this offseason. I would be happy to get Stempniak for 3.5-4 million, but I don't think you have a chance signing him for less than that. As far as hank getting 3 million I think that that is a bit much. He's on the downhill side of his career and was carried by myers last year. I would however be happy to keep him in the area of 2-2.25 million/year for up to 3 years.

Put yourself in Hanks shoes. He's coming off his most complete year in three seasons. He's going to get a raise or a similar offer. He made $3.25 million last season.

There's no way he accepts anything less than what he made last year.
