Discussions about Edmonton D issues make me giddy.

what a shame, b/c otherwise, that a a sweetheart of a contract going forward.
as Mattola said, Ehrhoff has just hit the lottery twice.

It might even be three times. He's gotten $22M over three years already, plus he gets another $12M over the next 14 years (not too shabby), plus he'll get another good size contract tomorrow.

And to clarify, when I said untradeable, it wasn't that they wouldn't find anyone to take the contract, it was because the Sabres couldn't take the risk of trading him because of the potential for him to retire, since that risk would come back to them since they got the cap savings.
