Ryan Suter will talk to Nashville

Predators General Manager David Poile has said in the past that he would like an indication from Ryan Suter on his unrestricted free agent intentions by early June. It appears he may get one soon. According to Suter’s agent, Neil Sheehy, some discussions are set to take place between Nashville and the All-Star defenseman in the coming days.

“David and I plan on talking sometime this week,” Sheehy said.

If the Predators and Suter don’t come to terms before July 1, he can sign with any team in the NHL without compensation for Nashville. Sheehy gave Suter two weeks after the season ended to cool down and try to come closer to a decision.

i think its because they hold to a smaller internal budget than most and that they dumped a lot on Rinne and have Weber coming up as well.
