I know it's only preseason, but this was one hell of a glove save for Miller, as he robbed Lupul. Miller was looking in mid-season form tonight.

Not gonna lie, I'm looking forward to seeing how this Sabres team plays this season. Their defense and netminders are pretty damn good.

Awesome stop.

BTW, has Toronto cut down on the 70 players they have on their team yet? It's going to be difficult to play against Toronto this year what with they're being able to roll seventeen lines.

Like I said before, I know it's only preseason, but the defense in front of Miller is already performing a lot better than last year.

I'm just hoping as they play a few games together, they start to gel, and really start to play some solid defense.

We can only hope.

That's a BIG sigh of relief for Sabres Nation.

It sure is. The Sabres can't afford to have any of their top guys on the offense go out again for a long period of time or the season.

Yeah, but I still think offense is a question mark. The Sabres have talent up front & the addition of Leino will help, but I'm still not sold. Vanek really needs to step up.

Sabres did a pretty good job of scoring last year, and that was with Roy out of the lineup. The Sabres seem to have their scoring spread out, instead of by a few players. As long as the defense and Miller keep the other team from scoring, then that takes pressure off the offense.

Well Vanek & Stafford scored 32 & 31 respectively. Roy will score at least 25 if healthy all season. Ennis, Pominville, & Gerbe are solid contributers. Myers & Leopold added 10 & 13 goals as well. With the addition of Ehrhoff the defense will probably be even better offensively.

I didn't even mention Leino. So the talent is their. They just have to go out & prove it.

I thought it you ment Lupul shotting in into him at first, and then I saw the rebound.

Great save, but they get a lot better

yeah, they carved down about 20 players.

as much as I love to rag on the Leafs, it's not a bad move with an organization like that.
they gave a heck of a lot of prospects their first taste of an NHL camp. that can be a pretty big motivator all year for a lot of guys.

The Sabres finished 9th in the League last year in GF, and like I said, that was without Roy for most of the year. They only trailed the #1 team in that stat (Canucks) by 17 goals.

I know people always say that the Sabres have issues on offense, but I really chalk it up to not having any "Superstars" on the team that do the scoring.

The Sabres still find a way to score, and everyone contributes.
