If this is a signing for him to be a mentor and skilled backup, then I have no problem with it. If They have signed him with expectations that he is the starter, they I have a real problem with it. You can't keep throwing the QB of the day out there and expect to gain any consistency in your offense. Obviously he is not the long term answer.

I like the move! I think he is the starter and will do an okay job. Beats the crap out of Newton, Darnold, Mariota, Tribusky.

Not that I don't like Fitz, but you bring in a 38 yr old vet to start, what does that say about Heineke and Allen? Our future at QB is no closer to being resolved than it was last year. Sooner than later, players on the team will realize WASH cannot fill that void and will not sign here if this is how the WFT approaches the most important position in ALL of professional sports.

What does it say ? It’s says the young qbs could use a mentor

Those are small fish, something bigger?
Mills is intriguing , he was hurt at Stanford but coming out of HS he was ranked higher then any of the top 3 qbs in this draft .
he had 2 acls

it’s risky but if he can stay healthy he has some pro qb talent ,arm and decision making ability

I'm just wondering if the Texans see the writing on the wall as DW is not coming back. He doesn't need their money, he wants a fresh start somewhere else. I see them relenting and trading DW for as much as they can possibly get in return. Real question is, who will pull the trigger first on a trade?
