Caldwell was asked and didn't answer. I'd like to hear him say why. Whether Broyles is dropping balls in practice, isnt putting in the effort, negative attitude, or whatever else. I feel like there has to be something. like I said before, its not because Fuller and Ross are playing so well.

Caldwell has to be above airing that stuff in public. I like the way he answered the question. In fact I like the way he's handled himself and the team, period. The guy is a grownup unlike the Buffalo chicken fighter.

I disagree. If a reporter asks why Broyles is not getting playing time Caldwell can answer that.

Also if Broyles doesn't even know then that is an indication of a problem. Now this may be isolated to Broyles but something is wrong here.

From the reports I heard is Ross has just flat out won the slot position battle over him. So all I can say is earn the position before crying about not getting time.

I don't hear Orvlosky crying about playing time or the big OT UDFA. Just be better than the guy in front of you! And it helps if you don't miss two seasons due to injury! When was the last season you still were playing in week 6?

2013. He got hurt in Week 8 against the Cowboys

In 2012 he got hurt in Week 10.

While I do agree -- Broyles needs to earn his playing time. I don't see what it would hurt by putting him in the game and seeing what he can do. Not like he could do much worse than Ross has been?

I give Ross props for the one big play for 60 yards, but he only had 69 yards the rest of the year. I hope they give Broyles a shot -- he looked good in the preseason. Ross is much better returning kicks, so he can concentrate on that.

I think he needs to earn his spot and quit crying. I think it's simple...Broyles is a small guy who relies on speed, quickness, and hands to be successful. After multiple knee surgeries he doesnt have the speed and quickness. The fact is he is a journeyman at best, I think his tweet is the frustration of that reality. Ross and Fuller have much better upside than Broyles. If they cut him he would probably be hanging out with Leshoure somewhere.
