I agree with all of that. But what I had originally said was that at the time of the trade it was largely rumored that Janet had something to do with it because she was (at the time) a Hollywood actress and the trade happened to take Wayne to Los Angeles. I live an hour south of Edmonton and I remember people absolutely hating Janet Jones when the news broke of Gretzky going to the Kings. It turned out that Pocklington (Peter Puck) was broke like you said, but nobody knew that at the time. The Russell Wilson/Ciara rumor just kind of reminded me of that Gretzky feeling we had back then when his story broke.
Ahh, gotcha Dk. Sorry, I misunderstood your inference. cheers.

the guy is 30 years old, has one year left on his contract and then they could tag him a couple of times ... he's not going anywhere soon i wouldn't think and if he leaves in free agency he will be on the downhill slide because he'll be older.

It'd only happen if RW pulled an NBA superstar move and told Seattle he wasn't going to resign and he'd only do a long term deal with the Giants to tank his trade value with other teams.

So while the wife in these scenarios have underrated pull when it comes to where players choose to play I find it to be highly unlikely.

BUT oddly enough Seattle would be the only team I would say could entertain that kind of trade because of the way Carroll wants his offense to run and the way he wants to build a team.

Despite Wilson's talent Seattle was 32nd in passing attempts and only averaged 193 passing yards per game and that's by design since they were 2nd in the league in rushing attempts and rushing yards.

So out of all the teams that put the least emphasis on the QB position it's Seattle which again I see is highly unlikely they do it but they would still be the most likely to do it.

Don't forget that this is the same Seahawks team that scouted Josh Allen last year so it's not clear how these contract talks are going to go with Wilson.

I don’t get it, her career isn’t going to get anymore relevant in NY, LA, China or wherever.

Seattle is not going to make a move like that, unless the Giants make them an offer that they can't refuse, like take on Russ's current contract and offer 3 or 4 first round picks.
Draft picks are hit or miss. They don't guarantee you anything. Russell is a guarantee so it would take more than high draft picks. Barkley and two firsts might work

Even I wouldn't get rid of the Wee One.

Unless of course it's to make room for Kaepernick.

Heard this as well. Wilson would be a great pickup for the Giants but I doubt this would ever happen.

Eli forced his way out of San Diego. No way in hell he accepts a trade to Seattle.
And Carroll and Schneider wouldn't take him anyway. They'd get a good laugh out of it though.
Well if they trade Wilson they need at least a somewhat functional QB immediately. But they could go for Teddy and not take Eli I guess.
