Thank god we play the Rams on the week after they play a Monday night game. They always play us tough at home though, albeit that was Missouri.

Aaron Donald is a beast to watch out for, but I really don't see them doing anything against our D. I usually hate the early bye week, but it looks like it'll come at a great time this year with Russ' injury along with Ifedi.

I just watched part of Carroll's press conference from today and he said Wilson wasn't wearing the boot today and that he would be practicing Wednesday. They're still gonna keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't aggravate it during practice, but Carroll sounded optimistic about Wilson's ability to play next week without much of a problem.

Some notes:

It is noted as a "sprain", but a sprain is actually small tears to the ligaments and tendons, so a severe sprain can be worse than a broken bone, particularly when it comes to longterm damage.

The article states that the x-ray and MRIs both came back negative, which is a good thing, but I question the need for x-rays and MRIs if there is no pain. My assumption is that at this level the players will get an MRI for a hang nail, as opposed to us regular folks who need to actually have severe damage before it is a consideration.

Note on this. Good news that he is walking around without a boot, but HARDLY tell that anything is wrong with him. So you can tell that he has an injury, however minor. Ankle injuries tend to linger and can easily re-injure (once you roll it, it is much easier to roll it again).

He will practice tomorrow, so not only is that good news but we will also see exactly how much he is injured. It sounds like soreness and a brace, and business like usual at this point be we will see.
