Not anymore. Practice squad rules changed a few years ago. Well they have changed every year but the number of years played in the NFL is no longer an issue.

Interesting. I guess that makes sense to why we kept Rypien, Johnson had a better chance of clearing waivers since he’s old and now he’s just a move away if someone gets injured.
