the pats dont "blow up " their team coach . cutting 5 players before their usefulness still leaves 48 players on the team

and coach , if we passed up TES as you say , its because we had bigger holes at all d/line positions 4 of 5 o/line position wr safety , cb , rb , wr , ilb and this covers the careers of reed and paul

winning teams dont cut loose corp players coach and i believe stagement isnt a word i think stagnant is
norman is not core

earning playing time and not taking a chance its differant ... have we match holsey with a legit receiver yet NO because we are scared earning playing time is collage football all im saying is take more of chance i bet when bledsoe went down first thing went through the GM and coaches mind was fuck who can we get point is take more chances to many good football players the vigils of the world this guy is good
if hosley had shown he could handle a legit wr consistently he would have played . that doesnt mean he cant , but it means he hadnt shown it . vigil is the 6th string ilb and will most likely get cut next season

they dont cut core players coach , they cut guys on the downside , they dont cut guys with youth and upside and they dont cut guys without a bonafide replacement in place . norman might not be a core player now but BB seems intent on leaving and tagging him is untenable . the cap hit cutting norman would be high as well ( i believe)

I wouldn't believe one word out of La Canfora's mouth. That dude has had an ax to grind with the Skins for years.

I've noticed that as well.

Him and Bucky Brooks are the most anti skins writers / "reporters" in the business.

They may be anti-Skins, but they are not even in the same league as that hack Jason Reid in terms of a reporter/blogger not liking the Redskins.

From that article:

The decision apparently left some NFL executives scratching their heads, with one personnel director openly criticizing the move and issuing a warning that the marriage between the Redskins and cornerback Josh Norman could be coming to an end.

""There is no way I would have extended Alex Smith like that," the unnamed NFL executive said. "I hear that Norman hates the front office and would want to leave anyway. Something could happen there."

Here we go again - an unnamed source (not even connected w/ the team) throwing out random BS & lots of folks bite - too funny.

yeah Reid too.

La Canfora, Reid, Brooks, Florio

I think it has a lot to do with the shifting, albeit failing, paradigm in the industry. Jason Whitlock as many faults as he may have, made a brilliant point.

Media which generally has been left winged leaning for the last few decades use to cater towards NYC values because that was the media capital in the world. Now with the emergence of social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc) social media has become top dog. As a result other traditional media outlets are catering towards Silicon Valley which couldnt have further left winged values.

So politics and bias in all media, including sports media is not nearly as subtle as it once was. More in your face.

I still place a lot of blame on the media for allowing the Skins to get fleeced for $32 million in cap space in the most blatant, textbook, cut and dry, collusion. If there wasnt such a bias against the skins, due to team name/snyder/ and other liberal biases, there would have been outrage in the media and more pressure on the nfl. Since the media didnt want to go to bat for what they perceived to be a conservatively ran and operated team the issue got swept under the rug.

Mere dot connecting to drum up clicks in an nfl offseason between combine and SB.

-Norman at one time was considered a superstar though play has slipped a bit recently.
-Norman loses a teammate that he liked and respected
-Front office is a shit show.

Norman must hate the front office.

Nonsense. He probably does hate FO who doesnt? However, he probably likes his fat paychecks more.

Bingo! For starters why is it a big deal when a player or any employee dislikes their boss at any given time? It happens every day all over the world - big deal. Even if Norman feels this way it could all change in the next few months based on lots of factors.

You basically nailed it - in this era the motivation for articles in the media is clicks to the site or viewers on TV. Accuracy means next to nothing so why not make things up if needed. If a rumor turns out to be totally false then people will forget about in days. Remember the whole Romo to the Redskins nonsense? Lots of folks have probably forgotten that one. Can't wait to see the next bullshit rumor.

Players hate RG3 because they are loud in the locker room as he is giving an interview?

I believe the media created a wedge between RG3, Shanny, FO

There was probably a loose piece fabric that was pulled and pulled and pulled until the sweatshirt was ruined.

Diana Rousinni and Brit Mchenry were the absolute worst with this. They would flat out lie. I called Diana out on twitter and Chris Russel sent me a private message that I saved. Basically admitting that I was right but to try to be nicer to Diana.

I never felt more validated for calling out click baiting bullshit

Too funny. So reporters can basically say whatever they like about players, owners, GMs, etc but as fans we are supposed to play nice w/ them? Whatever - hypocrites. Good one.

BTW - Rousinni probably had some of the best inside info on the Skins that she obtained while having her affair with SM.

Has this ever been confirmed?

May not be PC especially in this climate but if there was ever anyone to get to where they were on their back it is her. She checks off all those stereotypical boxes

Now on ESPN which at the time of the move was the pinnacle of where someone in her specific industry could be.

Rousinni broke many stories at Redskin park and was right most of the time. No idea who her source there was but she was damned good.

Quoting Chris Russell or using him as your source is not something I would ever do. That guy is mostly clueless. He makes dumb and dumber look smart.

What did Rousinni break?

She sucked IMO, was probably one of the worst.

She was right in the middle of that RG3 nonsense stirring the pot. It was sharks circling and her and brit mchenry would often reach the furthest.

Russell is okay... he's off as a person, definitely not a fan, and has a bone to pick with FO, and who doesnt, but hes a least honest in his takes and where he stands.

Rich Tandler is the best IMO and that other guy Chick isnt bad.

Wapo guys suck for the most part. Cant stand Jones, though Steinberg isnt too bad.

Chad Dukes is by far the best radio personality. He was the only one I could tolerate listening to when I was working in DC for 8 months. The junkies are pretty good though one of them really irritates me, not sure which one maybe EB. "donk" is a word I never want to hear again in a sentence.

You comments speak for your lack of knowledge of the area. If you want to see what Rousinni broke then look it up. I love when guys who do not live here think they know more than people that are here day in and day out. For the record I was originally skeptical of Roussinni but she proved me wrong.

Dukes is okay, he and the Junkies are shock jocks aka DJs. They are good at what they do which is make a lot of noise. Yep the Junks have their own lingo and I don't buy into it but a lot of people here do.

Giving any of these people too much credit is silly. Most didn't play sports at all. You are hitting a little above the Mendoza line on who is actually sports or in this case football knowledgeable. Most couldn't draw up a trap or explain zone/man high low concepts. I am willing to bet 80% of football fans can't explain either without Google.

Of course I told you once it is smart not to wave around the "dumb" or "stupid" flag unless you really know what you are talking about.

Rousinni - however she did it, got the news
McHenry - I think she showed what she knew when she went to ESPN ... not much
Tandler - hillbilly but he understands the game
Mike Jones - he is pretty solid
Steinberg - eh
Junks - shock jocks and No. 1 in the area
Dukes - shock jock and No. 2 or 3 in the area
Russell - M O R O N
Chick is a great guy but it is important to remember that he like the Junks and Dukes are entertainers

People you didn't mention:
Keim - pretty solid, he at least played football
Grant Paulsen - not great but I like him
Craig Hoffman - out fucking standing
Al Galdi - pretty good, better at baseball
Sheehan - not bad, not great ... over shadowed by Cooley
Czaban is Russell's M O R O N brother
Thom Loverro is very good but he is doing bit parts and writing for the Times
Mike Phillips - Richmond - very solid read
