Say waht you will about RR, but one thing is for certain: he isnt fucking around.

Haskins probably should have been released after the strip club ordeal, but releasing him after it was pretty clear that he wasnt a viable starting qb was pretty ruthless.

Good for RR, and too bad for DH.

I think Haskins will be signed somewhere, he may get another shot, being a good person I wanted him to succeed as a player, I think that other QBs may have a longer leash to screw up, other QBs are immature, others have less talent, etc. but I would hate all the press on releasing him had they done it because of the stripper party alone (and inviting a guest to their hotel against protocol).

So while I wanted Washington to win and that would mean good play by Haskins, despite others wanting a maskless party to run him out, starting was good and having this as part of the reason showed opportunities.

Maybe others have more chances, maybe that’s unfair, maybe he’ll turn it around and the release was too quick, maybe the circumstances without MacLaurin, coaching staff trust, playcalling, etc., was suboptimal, but I’m glad he had this chance, not released last Monday.

Like I said earlier ... Heinicke didn't have Terry and did have the same OC.
I agree, but I’m just saying that given all excuses one might make, having this opportunity was better than being released for off the field reasons. Winning would have been preferable, but if losing and if releasing, this way was best because of the told you’s, bias attacks, woe is me responses.

Haskins may be signed elsewhere, but honestly his game tape, off-the-field optics, and limited collegiate experiences dont exactly scream “winner!”

RR gave him a chance to prove himself through his benching and subsequent starts. He failed both.

While it’s true that he might have had a short leash, it’s also not RR’s fault that DH didnt do what is necessary to stick around.

What does it say to you that replacement qb playing with the same personnel moved the team down the field with relative ease, with very little to zero first team reps in practice?

Kiem is now reporting even after he was benched he still hadn’t really put the work in. He said he was told DH may’ve been putting in no more than 70% of what the coaches expected. Lazy mfr

Seems about right.
He played like 70% of what a rookie qb might be expected to play in his second year in the league.

He broke the rules and parties like a seasoned vet though, so there’s that.
