Get rid of the Bettman point.
Get rid of the shoot-out.
Five minute OT, five-on-five, four-on-four, I don't care.
Two points for a win, whether in regulation or OT.
No points for a loss, whether in regulation or OT.
No points for a tie at the end of OT, for either team.

I'll never understand giving the losing team a point..

But good win Kings!

Good game Kings fans, shootouts suck but at least San Jose managed a point out of the game. LA really took control of the game late.

Wallin is just a horrible hockey player.

I was in a 2 day panel with Dave Taylor during the lock out, before the shootout was put in. The reasoning was that they thought teams would try harder if i wasn't "all or nothing"

Ah, good game. At least we got one point out of it. And I didn't even have to get crazy-eyes on my companion for the evening. Hard to watch him celebrate the shootout goal though.

You got through the first game. Hope you took my advice about the dinner bet. Make him pay. LOL.

Ok if you ever go to a Sharks/Kings one simple rule.No PDAs: no hand holding, no kissing (even if the kiss cam goes on you), no hugging and no anything that lets anyone know you care. He can still buy you food and drinks, but nothing cute.

My wife will wear Kings gear or Kings colors if they are not playing the Ducks. I have worn an orange shirt once to a Ducks/Flyers game but I had a Kings tee shirt under it. And was she mad. Not only that I had a Kings shirt on but that by wearing orange I could have been cheering for Philly.

Two TVs is the way to go. That way when your team cheats and he calls you on it, he can make you go watch the little TV.

Oh, you don't have to tell me! My ex was a Blackhawks fan and we used to go to HP anytime Chicago came to town. I've got the rules down pat. Except for the one time I tried to fight some guy who was fucking with him during the Sharks/Hawks series last year. Whoops.

Funny story from the Kings blogger
The view from San Jose LA Kings Insider
A special good morning to the Sharks fan with whom I shared an elevator during the second intermission last night. That would be the fan who, apparently having enjoyed the Staples Center’s selection of alcohol a bit too much, vomited on the front of his jersey and required a stretcher to get to the first-aid area. That really made it a special night for me
