OK, Brewers. Don't waste this opportunity.
Maybe you are right. I haven't followed the Brewers much but I've not seen anyone as dominant as Hader in a long timeMilwaukee is 1-0 and leading in this one. They have 3 guys who are closers for most teams.
Burnes and Woodruff have putaway numbers. Hader is not even the closer. Knebel was. He isn't even close now. That team is sick with pitching.Maybe you are right. I haven't followed the Brewers much but I've not seen anyone as dominant as Hader in a long time
Relief pitching...they're short on starters...well...good ones... but that pen is nastyBurnes and Woodruff have putaway numbers. Hader is not even the closer. Knebel was. He isn't even close now. That team is sick with pitching.
Yeah, the starters are a tad shaky but I think most teams like that can get 100 pitches out of a starter and mix-match the rest of the way. They are in position to go after a starter.Relief pitching...they're short on starters...well...good ones... but that pen is nasty
They usually only use them for 70 to 80...and that pen works it's butt offYeah, the starters are a tad shaky but I think most teams like that can get 100 pitches out of a starter and mix-match the rest of the way. They are in position to go after a starter.
Shows how much I know. I thought Hader was the closer. He was on the All Star Team, was he not?Burnes and Woodruff have putaway numbers. Hader is not even the closer. Knebel was. He isn't even close now. That team is sick with pitching.
I assume they get Nelson back next year and it looks like they have a player or two they can deal for a starter. Santana maybe is worth a pitcher. They usually only use them for 70 to 80...and that pen works it's butt off
The guy's numbers are off the charts but he was never their closer. That was Knebel early on. Now it's Jeffress.Shows how much I know. I thought Hader was the closer. He was on the All Star Team, was he not?
These days the pen has become so important. All the best teams are looking for relievers.Relief pitching...they're short on starters...well...good ones... but that pen is nasty
Yes, and their rookie, Peralta did ok for them and you would hope would get better...you just never know thoughI assume they get Nelson back next year and it looks like they have a player or two they can deal for a starter. Santana maybe is worth a pitcher.
I like Counsell's managing. He could turn one of those bullpen guys into a starter. I think Woodruff has some background there.
I never expect much from pitchers now. The elbows and shoulders are the worst of it. Now they all pull oblique muscles from working out too much.Yes, and their rookie, Peralta did ok for them and you would hope would get better...you just never know though
Honestly, that's why I don't mind bullpenning... if a guy is throwing 15 to 30 pitches 4 out of 6 days, it's probably better than throwing 90 to 110 every 5 days... just my opinion...but when you tire you compensate and that's usually when bad stuff happensI never expect much from pitchers now.
