Higher than I thought he would go. Isn't that MORE than the Raiders paid him last year, and didn't he have a bad year?

Where does this set the bar for Carlos then?

Considering Routt is one of the most penalized and one of the most touchdown friendly CBs in the league, this deal was terrible for the Chiefs.

But I hope we can give Rogers the same kind of contract

Still want Rogers, I like players who want to stay in SF... plus he's our only real vet in the CB department. Brown is in the middle and still growing.

in a way he is in the middle and in a way he isn't, he was drafted in 2007 so he has five years in the NFL.

but he is "middle" considering his back-up role most of his career, he isn't a "grisley 'ol vet' measured by game reps. also, with our defensive scheme about to get even more detailed, he's got more to learn.

anyway, i'm really glad a 5th round pick is a capable starter.
