Wonder if LaGruberMyers would kick the tires on him.

Dubs back court is solid for the most part, but having Rondo would be nice.

David Lee would have to be included in this deal for for salaries to work.

Imagine Rondo/Steph and Klay in the backcourt? Hmmm

I don't think we need Rondo. Now if we could get a productive big man who doesn't break down physically every time a fly kicks him we'd be in business.

In a word, no. You're a mad man, but I do admire your outside the box approach.

Anything's possible. I think we know what we have with D.Lee when healthy. He isn't a 5, but a very good 4. With Bgout out, we don't really have a 5 on the roster capable of starting. FE isn't the answer.

That being said, if we can play small , rebound and play great defense, Rondo could help in that regard.

Just an off day for the DUbs, throwing something out there to think about.

Rondo is an injury waiting to happen. When are GM's going to learn that after a series of injuries and age, a player's ability to recoup becomes questionable. There are only a few Kobe's around in that regard and even he can't completely stave off the effects of age. You build with youth like what the Icon has done with the W's. Besides, Ainge wants too much for Rondo.

Ainge can demand whatever he wants, he doesn't have Mchale in MINN to handgift him a MVP caliber player like KG in return this time.

Unless Isiah Thomas got a GM job somewhere, I don't see anyone giving back "equal" value" in return for Rondo, he could leave next year and C's get nothing.

Perhaps it is time for Ainge to return a favor back to McHale.

Yeah, I think that would be a great trade for Warriors. The dubs should jump on to it like in the early 80's. Curry and 2 1st picks for Rondo....LOL

Rondo to Mavs official. Rondo is definitely an upgrade over Felton/Nelson/Harris, but they just traded away Brandan Wright who was a big piece to their bench to backup Chandler.

Mavs just became a serious threat. Rondo is the perfect backcourt companion to Ellis.

Not sure about this.

Rondo's value comes with him having the ball in his hands. When Monta and Dirk run the P&R, his value is highly diminished because he can't knock a shot down to save his life.

Rondo has primarily been a PG who's dominated the ball. It'll be interesting to see how they develop with him. Also his defense has gone down hill tremendously. Maybe that was a lack of interest, but it was notice-able.

Rondo and Paul are the best 2 point guards in the league for getting to the center of the court with the ball in their hands under control. Ellis will get plenty of open mid range jumpers and open lanes because of Rondo. Also, Rondo is long. He can guard 2s. His effort has trailed off, but then again, he hasn't been on a relevant team for awhile anyway.

Where's David Stern to veto this trade ie. the Cp3 trade to Lakers for Gasol?

Where's the outrage? Cuban bribe SIlver?

It's a steal for the Mavs. They basically gave up a late 1st round for Rondo.

The problem is that there were no where near the quality of offers for CP3 as there were for Rondo. The market for him is extremely limited, given the quality of PG play in the NBA right now. Go and look at how many teams were actually in search of a PG or an upgrade and they were few and far between.

Personally I think there might have been a better deal to be had dealing to Houston if they really wanted him, but we don't know what was on the table.

I don't think the deal is unfair enough to veto.
