If he's aquired in a trade his contract is 14M, next season its 19.5M but not guaranteed. I think he will work our a deal for much less if given a chance to start for a contender. I don't think his contract will be an issue his health will be.I wouldn't say the Broncos are short on cap space. We have something like $38 million for the upcoming year. The issue for the Broncos boils down to a few things when it comes to Romo...
1) How do they feel about their young QB's? If they like them then no reason to bring in an aging QB that just sets them back on their development.
2) What kind of starter could they bring in for the money he would get paid? I mean we are talking possibly $14-20 million here possibly so that could be 2 great starters on the OL that the Broncos need to fix or say a couple of defensive line starters.
3) How is the health of Romo? I mean I know he played a series at the end of the year and did well but actually getting checked out by team doctors do they really think he can hold up for an entire year?
