Tony Romo MRI reveals broken bone in back, could be out 6-10 weeks
The Cowboys will once again be without their starting quarterback for an extended period of time

The season hasn't even started yet and the Dallas Cowboys have already seen their starting quarterback get injured yet again. Jason Garrett announced on Saturday that Tony Romo had an MRI taken of his back after sustaining an injury on the third play of Dallas' third preseason game on Thursday night, and the MRI revealed a broken bone in Romo's back.

According to CBS Sports NFL Insider Jason La Canfora, Romo is expected to miss 6-10 weeks. Coach Jason Garrett, however, did not rule Romo out for the Cowboys' Week 1 game against the New York Giants.

Backup QB Dak Prescott will presumably take the snaps for however long Romo is out.

I mean do people think Dak is just gonna turn into complete trash in the season? He will have his highs and lows, but his arm is legit, and those feet are legit. Oh, and all this talent he has around him on offense can't hurt either. Don't see why the Cowboys can't score over 20 a game with Dak. The defense will decide where this team goes. Knock on wood for reasonable health around Dak this year. I'm all in with a 11-5 season from this team.

I think they have a heck of a chance to win 10 with Dak. I've seen enough to say that I think he is at least the equal of what I saw from Russell Wilson as a rookie, and while Dallas doesn't have that kind of D, what they do have is a great set of RB's, the best OLine in the game, a great WR and a great TE. He will have some growing pains, but if he can steer the team to, say, 4-4 till Romo gets back, it could work out very well for the team

This does bring one interesting question into play...if Romo is ready by week 9, and the team is, say, 6-2(hypothetical), and Dak is playing well, does Romo start week 9 or do you give it a couple of extra weeks?

Honestly........ It needs to be a decision on how quickly he heals. Tony has been pretty fragile over the past sum odd years( correct me if i'm wrong but the only year he has been was in 2015 i think). IF Dax is playing very well then i'd say go with the "hot arm" but If Dak costs you a game. Don't be afraid to pull the trigger and put in Tony
