Kinda weird. You would think he would still want to make more money. I'm guessing he was going to get suspended and maybe released but still. You'd think he'd try to milk a team for more cash.

Maybe this last stint in jail woke him up to the fact that he can't even take care of himself right now, let alone do a job. Doubt it though. I think this is more Ozzie telling him, "look kid, you screwed up before the fucking ink dried on the contract. I plan on cutting you...and your reputation will be further tarnished and your chances of playing in this league will be as much as Lawrence Phillips coming back to play. Or you could retire because your arrest record shows that right now, you are not fit to play the game. Which do you want it to be?" That sounds about right.

That also is a smart move on Ozzie's part if so, because if I understand retirement rules (thanks Brett Favre!) then the team still owns the player's rights if the player decides to return. So if he ever gets his mind right, Ozzie has a very talented player that can play linebacker.

Whew! This makes me happy. Anything that ruins the Ravens' plans is good news because I expect the Super Bowl to be a rematch of the SB 47.

drafting - the lifeblood and hence key to winning. on the other hand, an inexact science?

doesn't this "inexact" nature allow really bad teams to rise faster? if a bad team has a VERY good draft whereas a good team has a bad one............

it won't make the really bad teams AS GOOD, but they can close the gap faster.

Good Riddance. Talk about a guy who wasted their gifts.

My thoughts as well. He's had plenty of opportunities to make up for his mistakes. Maybe he will get his act together and return to the NFL in a year or 2.

My guess is he'll sit on his couch being lazy and will get fat and will never play in the NFL again. He'll probably end up in prison before he play in the NFL. If he really wants to play he should look to play in Canada.

Could have been great, but went to Oakland and they turned him into a thug instead.
