3 year deal sounds about right.

3 year $12-15M?

That's great news. Not expecting the INTs to continue, but Rogers has been great in coverage. If we can lock him up, and Culliver and Brown continue to develop, we wouldn't have any glaring holes going into this year's draft.

Didn't see this post and deleted the other thread. If they want to lock him in for 5 and back load, I wouldn't mind. Agree, three years would nice.

Please make this move happen!

He'll want some up front money because he knows we won't pay him in a back loaded deal.

I would be ok with a 3yr/18 or 4yr/20....5-6 yrs is a bit excessive at this point IMO.

I'd be good with 3-4 years and 15-18 mill

More than likely this will be his last meaningful contract so I'm sure he will looking for more up front/guaranteed money.

I find the timing of his comments rather odd. From a purely business standpoint, I would have expected him to wait until the offseason to bring this up. He could have potentially used other teams to drive up his price. Can we even extend players at this point in the season? If not, that's a moot point.

He's the team's best player at the toughest position to fill in the NFL so why not sign him.

I don't think anyone is opposed to signing him. It just has to be for a fair amount/structure to both parties involved.

I always find it funny when people are being snarky and make grammar mistakes.

Im on a message board using my phone what do I care about grammar. Is it wrong for me to think something is funny?

They aren't paying for it, but it's perfectly reasonable to discuss what a reasonable contract would be. Stupid spending = a trip back to cap hell.

I understand but I just think its funny that fans will get into debates about how much a certain player should get. I find humor in dumb things that's all
