I am sick even having to ask this question!

Since it seems like Rodgers will have to play catch with his son on the gridiron due to Green Bay having no more wide recievers(exaggeration but you get the point),should I go with Rodgers or Eli. The packers are likely to start running the ball more with the receiving corps injured and many fantasy projections show Eli having similar or better numbers than Rodgers.

Yay or nay for this week?

I hope it's Yay for Eli! I'm rolling with him in my money league now. Could be a good week to bench Aaron...but if you're considering benching him, you're probably better off trying to trade him.

I think the Packers are going to throw no matter who's out there.

Theres no set of circumstances, short of Rodgers having a broken arm, where I'd bench him for Eli. Just can't see it

Finley may see reps at WR along with Nelson, Stoneburner may see targets at TE, Lacy may catch some short stuff, and then there's Boykin/White/Harper. The question is whether Rodgers, like Peyton, can connect with essentially any NFL-level WR.

But Eli's not a bad play this week. I'd say it's pretty close - except that you'll probably rake yourself over the coals more for sitting Rodgers if he turns out to have the better week.

Since Rodgers is past his bye week, I would look to flip Eli for some loose change to an owner needing a bye week QB.

I don't think Eli should be on your roster if you are going to agonize over this decision ever. There are at least 15 QBs I would rather own for the rest of the season and Rodgers is unlikely to get hurt. You don't need a back-up.

Opposite George weighing in...

I'd take Eli.

Rodgers is very good, but I agree with the scenario that the Packers will run. Finley may see more targets but he also has "stone" hands. Packers should not need to pass to win vs the Browns.

Meanwhile, Eli plays Monday night. They have zero run game. (Jacobs is now hurt, and they signed headcase Hillis.) The G-men will have to pass. I see the Vikes-Giants game has high-scoring.

BTW: as for offensive plays called...

GB - 184 passes attempted (ranked 13th in NFL); 136 runs attempted (10th)
NYG - 233 passes attempted (5th); 113 runs attempted (28th)

BTW: as for offensive plays called...

Just to clarify the rankings above were in the passing/rushing yardage respectively. This is how the play-calling rankings fair:

GB - 184 passes attempted (ranked 26th in NFL); 136 runs attempted (22nd)
NYG - 233 passes attempted (9th); 113 runs attempted (29th)

I am guessing you get negative points for interceptions and so far this year Eli has a few more of those that Rodgers. Eli 15 and Rodgers 4

These numbers are off slightly since the Packers have had a bye and NY has not so they are equal at least

I like Opposite George. Always thought he deserved his own show.

Pains me to admit, but I agree with him on this. Things could be ugly for the Vikings faithful.

Hopefully for us, Randle still hasn't learned to run a route and Nicks still hasn't learned to score a touchdown.

The G-Men are 0-6 for a reason. If you think this one is going to ugly for the Vikes, than have fun with Mr. Bridgewater next year. The Giants are a bad football team right now.
