As an element of surprise to close out a game, it could be effective if a team with a lead loses their QB for the 4th Quarter. But it’s something a defense would quickly be able to adjust to. It would have to be practiced by the offense. The single wing is a fascinating offense. Elements of the single wing were brought back by college coaches but more modernized. Gus Malzahn (ironically started as a HS coach) ran a version of it and Urban Meyer ran a version of it.

Injury was my fault. I deadass joked yesterday with a friend of mine who likes the Pat McAfee Show about how crazy its gonna be that the first Aaron Rodgers weekly show appearance will be cancelled because he got hurt in his first game. Then this happens.

Rodgers would be incredibly stupid to try to play again this year - the Jets aren’t going to make the playoffs and he would be risking another injury that could end his career if he came back and played this year. I don’t understand why he’s rushing it.

that was my original thought too... but now I think it would be genius of him to come back... if he can... he will be the miracle no matter what... and we know he love attention...

and if he comes back, it allows him NOT to look like an asshole when he retires during the off-season...
