I don't think you were wrong. I have watched most of his home runs and he isn't trying to hit home runs he is just putting bat on ball. Earlier in the yearI made a comment that his stroke looked different than in spring training and that he was really over swinging. Now he looks like the spring training version and the ball is just flying off his bat.

Can you imagine what the next few years could look like if both Jrod and JK keep building their game at the plate?

I mean the M's could end up like the Angles with two bonafide studs and a bunch of drek around them that keeps them from the postseason, but still.

Ya I don't get it. The guy only has to hit so finding one should not ever be that hard!!!!! They act like it is a meaningless position. It is a free hitter that doesn't have to be good at any thing else.

For a team that prides itself on using analytics, they seem to have constructed the roster as if we're an NL team with the pitcher hitting 9th in the lineup. Pretty stupid.

He literally can't be worse than la stella so it only comes down to whether or not a 0 hit night with a bad k or two would cause any mental break for him. I'd hope he isn't quite that fragile.

I'm more interested in his game tonight than any other of his so far this year.

Well, it looks like the Kelenic streak continues.

If there weren't other glaring holes in our lineup, I'd probably be more ecstatic.

The last two years I'll admit I've probably watched Kelenic's ABs with more attention than any other player on this team and I've continued doing that and really think something changed. Maybe they put him on Xanax or something because he's laying off bad pitches and doesn't seem to be getting frustrated.

He was saying he doesn’t care about the offensive production from the DH spot cause there philosophy is to keep their legs fresh when they hit the dog days. It’s one of those in theory type things cause unless they think they are going to go 40-0 the last 40 games it is really dumb to say out loud they are ok with punting on the first 4 months of the season regardless of the production.

I'm the type that I can play Devil's Advocate for most things I disagree with, but this philosophy that they have regarding the DH spot is something I can't come up with any real argument justifying not having a legit DH other than you can't afford one.

Numbers aside, ever since Spring Training he just looks like a different player in his approach to the plate. He's laying off the garbage, not getting frustrated, swinging at strikes, etc.

9 game home stand ... time for the ballclub to sack up and start pissin' on some teams legs and establishing some dominance.

We need some swagger when we play at home. Time to put that 1st home stand in the rear view mirror and get after it starting tonite.
Last nights game was pretty solid all around. Colorado and St Louis are playing poorly to start the season. We need to play 4-2 or 5-1 vs those clubs this next week.

Brew Crew sandwiched between them and they are looking legit and racking up some early wins. A 6-3 home stand ( or better ) would help us get right.

How great would a nice 7-8-9 game winning streak be right now to liven things up

La Stella and Wong combined BELOW the Mendoza line and batting right after Kelenic in tonites line up.

He is totally gonna get pitched around for sure. Needs to take the walks and not go chasing the balls off the plate

What is the point of a retractable roof when you soak the field before playing? I know they say its to keep the dust down but is dust really a problem? It seems cold and miserable up until summer starts. You would think that in an area where the season starts off a little cool before warming up they wouldn't do that. Yesterday I thought it was raining during the game because the ground was so wet.
