Back at it with Kopech on the mound. Sox down 3 to the Guardos.

And more importantly, 4 back in the loss column. It stands to reason that we need to take at least 3 of the 4 remaining games we have against them. Even winning 3 of 4 means we still wouldn't control our own destiny, but at least we'd put a nice dent into that lead. A split or Cleveland winning the majority of these games would make it extremely difficult for us to catch them. One thing is they still have 5 more games against Minny, who completely laid an egg in their last series against them. Maybe this time around the Twinks could exact a little revenge. Of course OTOH, we have 6 more against the Twinks ourselves. Have to say, the Guardos are looking strong where they presently stand.Back at it with Kopech on the mound. Sox down 3 to the Guardos.
hung in there well tonight.i used to be so high on kopech, but he's let the team down bigtime. he gets worse as time goes on.
Kopech gives 5 nice innings - bull pen does the job - Eloy and Pito homer - Sox win! Jimenez is in a sweet groove - homering about every 10 ABs.
Sure wish we had some of these guys all season and hopefully next year they won't wait over half a season to start heating up. And yeah, those damn Guardians are making it very tough for us.Guardians keep winning - at this rate they’ll need to win all 4 against them. Agree with all takes in this thread - 86 wins may not even be enough at this point.
Each loss from this point forward is almost like a double loss. We're quickly reaching the point of having to win all four games we have remaining against Cleveland, and those odds seem awfully long to me.You never win games with zero runs scored
