I think that is exactly correct!To me it sounds like Robbie was holding on and planning to fight a suspension, but once he broke his finger it made more sense from a time out stand point to just give in. If you don't count what would be time on the DL he is really only serving 20+ games which is a major break. Now he still cant play in the post season and had to give up $12mill. Overall it couldn't had gone any better in terms of his punishment and the ramifications to the M's. Now we have money to add pitching.
