Here's what I don't get.

If you are a player on a losing team and you get asked a question that you either don't like or don't want to answer, just say "no comment." I mean, that was the classic press conference move back in the day. Does the NFL not allow that? If I were a player, I'd just do the no comment response anyway.

I posted this because Rivera said it two days ago at the NFL meetings. It is new news. The part about Rivera saying losing players shouldn't have to talk to the media for 3 days after losing a Super Bowl has never been talked about on these boards. It was a stupid enough thing to say that it warranted discussion by the all-knowing Hoop posters.

Talking to the media is part of the job. If Cam was so pissed about losing maybe he should have put a little more effort into the game itself.

We all know why the thread was started and we all know it was a legit thread, even the Carolina fan who questions ed you knows it's a legit thread, he's just butt hurt because his QB and Coach are being picked on. We need Hammer to make a rule Supere Bowl losing teams can't be picked on because their fans can't take it.

Pretty lame Ron, I usually respect you but this was just a dumb thing to say.

Many NFL dabs also told beast mode to man up and stop crying. Besides I don't remember Pete Carroll telling the media to leave his player alone.

No axe to grind with Beast Mode or Cam...I get some players take losses harder than others, but talking to the media is part of the gig...just put your best face on, do it, and move on.

I think the difference there is that Lynch NEVER likes to speak to the media whereas Cam is all about showing off for the cameras and has no problem talking to the press when things go good, but when they don't go his way he's a sulky kid all of a sudden. The biggest difference between the two is consistency with the press. Beast should have answered questions too, but he didn't come off as a spoiled brat the way did Cam did.

All they have to do is spit out the same boring cliches to every question. Media will hate it just as much, but they can't do anything about it. If you never give the media anything to work with, there's no risk.
