RIP Coach Tark
Those Running Rebel teams were the greatest show on/off the hardwoods.
The tame Michigan Fab Five had nothing on the swag and style of the 1989-1991 era UNLV.
UNLV would literally SCARE people before they stepped on the court with 5 dudes who always looked about 10 years older and 40 pounds more muscular than other college kids.
Entourage, hype men, gangsters, showgirls, old Vegas style, all wrapped up in the fastest basketball ever. No other college team in history had people fear them while wanting to be them.
Flashy and likely illegal as hell..... But it was undeniably exciting and over the top.
Tark gave college basketball something we will never likely see again. ENTERTAINMENT GOLD.
