Damn, that's the second 'ol Sixer to go.

Those were one of my fave teams back in the day...Moses, Chocolate Thunder, Dr J, et al.

Not sure how. I've been looking since I woke and heard.

ESPN was very vague.

He was a trail blazer, first player to enter the NBA from HS. He was also a dominant player, used to back people down and then turn and score on them. One of my favorite centers of all time, right there with Shaq.

Probably heart attack. It seems like playing professional sports bothers the heart as you get older

I looked into it and from what I read that's not really the case (could be wrong though). But it does seem like NBA big men have a shorter lifespan than most people. Wonder if the size has something to do with it.

Damn, 60 is waaay too young to be passing on.

Gotta admit that I hated this guy when he played with Houston and the Sixers. He was one of the greats though and it's a shame he didn't live to be an old man with a bunch of grand kids crawling all over him.

I guarantee you Sir Charles is grieving right now. Mo was a father to him.

Show me anyone associated with Moses Malone who'll say something bad about him.

What a sad day.

That sucks. Moses was great to watch play and by all accounts, was even better off the court. Sad day for the NBA.

Only thing I've seen is he passed in his sleep.

RIP. Great great player. He gets overlooked a bit I feel and I'm not quite sure why. Maybe its because he got traded a few times so he's not iconic with one place or maybe its just he didn't seem as outgoing media wise as others from his time.
