This deserves its own thread. Marlin Briscoe was drafted by the Denver Broncos in 1968 and started 5 games for the Broncos at QB, being the first black person to start at QB for a professional football team. Against the Bills, Briscoe (nicknamed "the Magician" ) passed for 335 yards and four touchdowns. Unfortunately, he would ask for his release the following season after learning he wouldn't get the chance to compete for the starting job. He then went to the Bills as a wide receiver, and was a Pro Bowler at WR in 1970. Don Shula liked what he saw, and traded for Briscoe in 1972. Briscoe would then win two Super Bowls with the Dolphins and was a member of the undefeated Dolphins squad.
In 2016, Briscoe was inducted into the College Football HOF.
