I never saw anything about him running from the police.
It was literally in the 3rd paragraph in the article provided in the opening post.

About 30 minutes later, a constable spotted Lacy driving and attempted to make a traffic stop. Deputies said Lacy refused to stop and was chased for several miles before crashing.

He is guilty of felony hit and run after being at fault in an accident that resulted in a death. He ran from the scene rather than offering help to the victim and then ran from the police when they attempted to arrest him. This second accident could have cost more lives. You are presenting the theory that maybe it was the other drivers fault for not letting him back over after he passed in a no passing zone. Come on now.

I wonder if that was your aunt or grandmother who died if you would feel the need to continue to make excuses for his behavior.

I wonder if that were your son if you would have your pitch fork out.

Just a strange hill to die on. I've already shown you where he ran from the police and crashed, endangering others in the process. I explained how being responsible for an accident and running away instead of offering help to the victim is a terrible crime and how the timing makes it clear that he was a coward who was scared to face the consequences of his actions. His suicide destroyed his own family after destroying the family of the victim.

I'll continue to ask why are you trying so hard to excuse such behavior?
