RIP

Thankful to him and the rest of the ABB for paving the way for (and promoting the careers of) so many other great bands from the Southeast in the early 70's

Yep...they were inspired by the blues...then in turn trail blazed, incorporated jazz riffs in many of their tunes, and paid it forward which inspired numerous other bands of the southern rock/ jam band genre....and that list is pretty long and still going strong.

Damn, I was going to play around and say In Memory of Richard Betts, who is off to his own Blue Sky.

Last man standing is Jaimoe.

2 death by motorcycles, one suicide, one liver cancer and now this, cancer and chronic COPD.

Yep. Betts was the first one of them to make it to 80. RIP.
