Granted, this is only the 3rd game, or so, that I've been able to really watch Griffin play, and there's still plenty of time to see just who was the clear winner in all this, I gotta say... it's starting to look like we really dodged a bullet. And a very profitable dodge, at that.
What's the deal with this kid?? Last year was nothing short of stellar. This year? He looks AWFUL. He's sailing more passes than he is hitting on. He's making quite a few poor decisions with the ball. His mobility has been utterly useless, if not non-existent. In short, he looks absolutely lost out there (as I typed that last sentence... he went down yet again).... (Damn... and YET AGAIN. Two plays in a row around the 6:15 mark of the 4th quarter.). Wow... just wow.
If I were the casual observer and you told me the Rams basically traded RG3 to the 'Skins, for Michael Brockers, Janoris Jenkins, Alec Ogletree, Zac Stacy and what's starting to look like (at least, at this point) a top 10 draft pick in 2014.... I'd ask if the Redskins' GM has been skipping his monthly CAT scans. Either that... or if the deal was made at gunpoint. Hell... even as an avid observer, I'm wondering the same thing.
I gotta say, this game has only served to bolster my faith in Les Snead and Jeff Fisher, to have the ultimate wisdom to fleece the 'Skins and build OUR team smartly, through multiple picks, rather than banking on the flavor of the draft.
Still kinda wish he would have pulled it together enough to beat the 49ers, though. Lol.
