Art Briles is a filthy and disgusting coach. He's cheated and covered up criminal behavior time and time again. Baylor should be given the death penalty and the Big 12 dumpster fire needs to be implode ASAP. Likewise, Texas state police need to come in and level Waco authorities and start over.

But that's not even the worst part.

The real disappointment here is not that Art Briles condones it. It's not that Baylor fans condone it. It's that BU itself condones it...especially given that it was just a short while ago when a basketball player killed his teamate, and the head coach tried to portray him as a drug dealer. And yet, did Baylor come correct? ...Sadly, no. But thump thump thump that Bible and praise Jesus! Right Baylor?

We'll see what the Pepper Hamilton report brings. Meantime, why on earth does the federal government require that campus officials investigate r*pe? This is ridiculous. r*pe is a violent crime, and violent crimes should be investigated by local and state law enforcement, not campus cops. No knock on campus security, but if a school is hiring criminal investigators as campus cops, it's not allocating resources wisely. Alleged victims should be directed to local law enforcement. This approach isn't perfect (witness the State College PA police and the Sandusky cover-up), but it puts responsibility where it should lie.

This is a clear pattern of systematic suppression of victims by Baylor University. The NCAA needs to think seriously about for once sending a message and killing off the Baylor football program. It's everything that's wrong with college football. Make it painfully obvious to other schools that this won't be tolerated any longer.
