Manning will never be what he once was, but he's far from done. He's still a top 10 QB.

I'll admit after I wrote that, he made some nice throws..... But you have to admit, the ball doesn't' seem to spin out of his hand like it used to. And his supporting cast might not be helping.

No, it doesn't. And there was a report that his passes to the right are wobbly, especially the longer distance ones. Like Carson, I expect throughout the rest of his career his passes will be inconsistent.

I'll take a 50% Peyton over a lot of QB's. Hopefully his arm continues to get stronger as the season goes on. I dont think I've seen him throw deep yet so defenses might be able to shorten the field somewhat until he proves that he can get the ball over the top of them.

I get the weird sense They keep waiting for Peyton to keep the ball and run it for 50 yards.... but it ain't gonna happen.

Ha. Peyton's only problem right now, his WR want to immediately go down field and start blocking rather than looking for a pass!

My favorite is the Leon Hall foul where he hit a "runner" and got called for a personal foul.

Also, last night "Holding, Red. 10 yard penalty"

Red? What is this grade school? Know the name of the damn teams you are working.

There are missed calls in every game so that concerns me less than the actual administration of the agmes. There were MULTIPLE times last night where the ball was spotted wrong, where the officials didnt seem to know the rules etc. When a penalty takes place on the 43 and the ball gets marked at the 32 instead of the 38 and then a team scores in the last seconds it is a HUGE problem IMO. Those extra 6 yards may have gave a team 4 extra points.

I agree 100%. It is not a team problem, it is a league wide problem with these boobs out there. The worst part of the officiating is what you mentioned, they have no idea how to mark the ball, NONE. They just run in and place the ball where ever the F they want to. It is embarrassing. In Sunday's game with the Bengals and Browns, there was one situation where I think the Bengals ran the ball and it was like like 3rd and 3 or 4 or something, and the ball carrier was downed right about at the first down marker, shouyld have been a close play and definitely needed the markers brought out. They marked him almost a yard and half ahead of where he actually was downed.

This is the same way with any of the teams. Officials are just running "to about" the spot the carrier went out of bounds and says, GOOD ENOUGH. But when a team in this league is marked short on 4th and whatever by a chain link, GOOD ENOUGH, is not fucking GOOD ENOUGH.

I think they are inconsistant with pass coverage penalties, blind on most holding calls unless the guy is fucking tackled, and the clock in our game on Sunday was just flat out stupid.

Defensive players are definitely taking advantage of the refs' inexperience. They're getting away with all sorts of crimes out there.

It's like asking division 3 football players to come in and play professional sports. They are doing the best they can, had to cram in the differences rules ect, but this will work for the short term.
