ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams returned to practice Sunday after missing Thursday’s preseason win over the Detroit Lions, a welcome sight for the starting offense. Another positive sight for the Redskins: rookie slot receiver Jamison Crowder participated in practice for the first time since Aug. 7.
Meanwhile, linebacker Junior Galette continued to increase his reps and said he will play this Saturday vs. the Baltimore Ravens.
Here’s a look at the Redskins injury list:
LB Trent Murphy: He aggravated his hip and stopped practicing early; head coach Jay Gruden called him day-to-day.
WR DeSean Jackson: Sat out again with a sprained shoulder. He did work out before Thursday’s preseason win over Detroit, running routes and catching passes on the field.
TE Jordan Reed: Sat out with a hamstring issue; there was some hope last week that he would play vs. Baltimore this Saturday. But that appears unlikely, and there’s a chance he won’t play until the season opener vs. Miami.
CB DeAngelo Hall: Sat out again with a toe injury.
K Kai Forbath: His quadriceps was sore so he did not practice. Gruden said he’ll be fine and will kick when they return to practice Tuesday.
DE Frank Kearse: Hasn’t practiced since the Cleveland preseason opener because of a left shoulder issue.
LB Will Compton: Returned to individual work after missing the first two preseason games with osteitis pubis, an inflammation of the tendons in the groin area. Compton said he couldn’t walk on the first day he suffered the injury but said he expects to play Saturday.
CB Bashaud Breeland: Participated in individual work for the first time since suffering a torn MCL on July 31. He was expected to miss four to six weeks.
wont play till the season opener they cant tell the truth about reed can they ?
