ASHBURN, Va. -- Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams returned to practice Sunday after missing Thursday’s preseason win over the Detroit Lions, a welcome sight for the starting offense. Another positive sight for the Redskins: rookie slot receiver Jamison Crowder participated in practice for the first time since Aug. 7.

Meanwhile, linebacker Junior Galette continued to increase his reps and said he will play this Saturday vs. the Baltimore Ravens.

Here’s a look at the Redskins injury list:

LB Trent Murphy: He aggravated his hip and stopped practicing early; head coach Jay Gruden called him day-to-day.

WR DeSean Jackson: Sat out again with a sprained shoulder. He did work out before Thursday’s preseason win over Detroit, running routes and catching passes on the field.

TE Jordan Reed: Sat out with a hamstring issue; there was some hope last week that he would play vs. Baltimore this Saturday. But that appears unlikely, and there’s a chance he won’t play until the season opener vs. Miami.

CB DeAngelo Hall: Sat out again with a toe injury.

K Kai Forbath: His quadriceps was sore so he did not practice. Gruden said he’ll be fine and will kick when they return to practice Tuesday.

DE Frank Kearse: Hasn’t practiced since the Cleveland preseason opener because of a left shoulder issue.

LB Will Compton: Returned to individual work after missing the first two preseason games with osteitis pubis, an inflammation of the tendons in the groin area. Compton said he couldn’t walk on the first day he suffered the injury but said he expects to play Saturday.

CB Bashaud Breeland: Participated in individual work for the first time since suffering a torn MCL on July 31. He was expected to miss four to six weeks.

wont play till the season opener they cant tell the truth about reed can they ?

Didn't Kelly have some type of degenerative issue with his knees? I've never been a fan of Reed personally and fully expect him to miss his mandatory 37.5% of the season due to injury.

I veiw everybody else on the list as pretty damn important though.

It's really not fair to be angry at players who are always hurt. It's not their fault and they are more frustrated than we are. But damnit I'm getting sick of this entire Jordan Reed movie.

I'll second all these emotions.

Heck I will third it. For us this is just a source of entertainment, a hobby at the most but for the players this is their livelihood.

I dont get mad at them for being hurt. But I in no way feel sorry for a guy who will make 3-5 times more on medical leave than the average American makes for a 40 hour work week.

I feel bad for him personally. But in terms of the team, next man up if he's not healthy. Any production from him this season will just be a happy surprise. I'm far beyond having any expectations of 16 games from him ever happening.

I honestly do not remember what his injury is this time, they all kind of blend together. I had to review the opening post again.

There was a hint that he simply is unwilling to play with pain. Not sure how accurate or fair that is but Gary Clark played with hamstrings all the time. But again not sure that's fair.

All I know is the best ability is availability and this goes does not have that.

The organization knows this as well so...why didn't we sign an UFA TE or why didn't we draft one with a 6th or 7th round pick in this years draft? Granted, we all didn't know Paul or Paulson would get injured but for what it's worth, Paul or Paulson are really not starter material as we know (and don't give me this crap that Paul was #1 on depth chart crap) the guy is a special teams performer at best, Paulson being a good inline blocker, we really needed a TE to come in and push all of these guys for a spot. I guess we now have a new TE in this group from S.F. I hope he can help this situation along.

Nobody really knew how Paul would play this offseason since he added a lot of (good) weight during the offseason. Unfortunately - he suffered that fluke injury.

you cant fix every issue in one off season . add to it the TE class was weak and you have the answer .

We actually did with Devin Mahina.
