Look at Williams' collegiate career. It was very lackluster. They overrated him because he is a good athlete. That athleticism has never translated to on the field play. The grades you talk about should never be applied to an underaxhiever.

This I disagree with. Scouting isnt about college production. Its about what traits you can bring with you to the NFL. Williams was a very good prospect who has at absolute worst been a good player for the Jets. I have no problem with the Scherff pick but Williams wouldve been a good pick too.

To say SM shouldnt get any credit for that success is downright insane.

That said, I agree hes not perfect. But I dont think most of the people youre referring to think he is either. Hes just miles better than the alternative. But apparently youre more than happy to return to having Snyder and his yes man run things.

How is insane when his 2015 draft is falling apart as we speak? I respect your opinion but for SM to take credit for KC's productivity under Gruden is a little far fetched.

- Im pretty sure SM stood up for KC starting.
- He drafted Scherff
- He drafted Crowder
- He signed Dunbar and Foster
- He signed Norman
- He brought in Kelley
- He signed V Davis
- He drafted Cravens (early yet but certainly helped us when he was on the field)
- He drafted Smith (who even if you dont like had 8 sacks during our division title run)
- He helped turn around the culture here
- He drafted Doctson (who hasnt helped us yet but you obviously cant blame SM for Doctson getting hurt)

Did he single handidly make us a winning team? No. But he certainly helped.

gruden was the first one who wanted KC starting .Campbell drafted Crowder here. Norman was a no brainer and we had the money to do it. I understand the picks for 2016 and its too early to say anything about them yet. If Matt Jones is cut from this team that speaks volumes in my mind.

Lol. Bit of a reach there. Sm still stood up for Cousins.

He still drafted Crowder (and really we have no proof it wasnt his idea)

He still signed Norman. (how you could say he didnt make the team better when he signed Norman blows my mind)

But yet youre locked in on one random 3rd round bust. Who cares? Do you know what the hit rate on 3rd round picks is? It isnt good.

If Norman takes the money and flames out, who gets the blame? SM. So why doesn't he get the credit? There were a bunch of people on this board that wanted to pass on JN.

You got me.

Im still trying to figure out why, in order to be the highest paid QB in the league, you need to be able to carry the entire team.

But when you are the highest paid Corner in the league, and you turn out NOT to be the shutdown corner advertised..... Its no problem.

I liked the Norman move. You are totally misunderstanding

Norman is not the highest paid Cb in the league. Plus we are talking about QB's which are totally different.

coach posted articles that crowder was Campbells pick

Yeah but you can't just pick and choose which picks fall on SM and which do not. SM was in charge of the draft, his name is on every pick. Those names include Ari, Matt Jones and yes Crowder.

I was just going off what coach posted a few weeks ago.

Check your math Dean

Norman is in fact the highest paid CB in the league, he also carries the highest cap number in the league for a CB at $20M.

So again by your logic, he should be the best CB in the league in order to justify his contract. Right??

We are using the reverse Bruce Allen law of who gets credit.

Scot gets the blame for any and all failed draft picks or free agent signings during his two years, and no credit for any good draft picks, free agents or personnel moves because the were in fact no brainer moves that any one would have done. So why should he get any credit for them??

Signed Harry and Lloyd.
